I've been a very bad boy . . .
May. 22nd, 2004 06:53 amOK. For those of you who don't know me very well, I am actually very anti-social. I _try_ not to be, but it's a constant struggle and my current mood has a big effect on whether I talk or not.
Anyway, my New Year's resolution was to respond to all e-mail within 24 hours. Life has reminded me that I have not been keeping to this. I deeply apologize to everyone I haven't been prompt to.
On a lighter and much more pleasant note, we're about an hour away from leaving for 3 days and 2 nights on the beaches of Seaside, OR . . . in the rain. Which, in and of itself doesn't bother me. I don't really like to beach anyway. What it will mean is being stuck in a small room with a 9 year old who really wants to go to the beach. *sigh* I'm taking my laptop. Maybe I'll be able to get some work done.
Also I talked to my parents this week. They're going to arrive on June 4th. And then the bathroom re-model from hell will begin. We're totally gutting the bathroom, putting down a new subfloor, new vinyl, new toilet, new wallcoverings, new sink and cupboard, new cabinets, new bathrrom fan and most importantly, a new jacuzzi tub.
In Simulacrum news, our last two gaming sessions have fallen through. Instead we've taken pre-generated characters and just put them into arena combat, putting the combat system through its paces. The first week was kind of a dud, in large part due to the characters being poorly matched. The second night we just did a duel between two characters. It went pretty well.
