So much for updating this thing regularly. I'm doing worse here than I am on getting exercise. Why is that? Anything on the computer is more fun than exercise!

Anyway, last week I didn't get much game work done. I was helping some friends put up drywall in the new "house" they're putting up. I say "house" because it's actually one of those wooden sheds they're always selling at the county fair. With two stories and a tiny little steep stair/ladder.

This one is actually a little nicer than that. It is big, maybe 20x14 and the stairs, although narrow, aren't steep. They've put in the tiniest bathroom I have ever seen upstairs. Anyway, I helped put up drywall. Then they couldn't come over and game with us on Saturday because they were still at it.

Which wound up being for the best because we had an absolutely wonderful Saturday without them. It started with me mowing the lawn (which wasn't a great start to the day), but then we went out for lunch and went to a state park. I forget the name of the park, but it's on Lake Goodwin. Chris and I sat under a tree and got to talk for about 3.5 hours about a lot of stuff. Mostly my game and publishing plans. Becca swam in the lake and made sandcastles. We had a great time.

We also made plans to go down to Seaside, Oregon for our anniversary (Illuminati day).

On Sunday, we finalized our plans to go to Montreal for the Gathering of Gargoyles in August. Spent $2000 in plane tickets and hotel reservations. But it'll be worth it. Fun time, fun people, and an old city that I've always wanted to visit. The only problem is that we're going to get back two days before Dragonflight, Seattle's largest game con. I'll be running the Gary's Games and Hobbies booth there and trying to run Simulacrum demo games. It's gonna be a week!

Yesterday we posted the latest edition of Sabledrake Magazine, and then I sat down and wrote out a disease system for Simulacrum. I'm pretty happy with it, but I'm going to need to do some research into various illnesses and figure out things like onset times and stuff like that.

Today I'm going to tackle my Simulacrum to do list and see how many items I can clear off of it ... after I meet K for breakfast and get the money they owe me (long story) and hear the latest about how the drywall's coming. Actually I'm late for that breakfast now.
