ElfLore Game and more
Apr. 5th, 2004 07:27 pmOne Saturday we had the ElfLore game, the GURPS game my wife Christine runs in the world of her MageLore and ElfLore novels. I play Tavelorn, the elven surgeon and nobleman who believes that humans should either be eliminated or turned into slaves.
Anyway, this week saw our heroes finally get out fo the jungles of Rumelia and back onto our ship. From there we went to one island and dropped off Ellie, our expert on the primative human natives of Rulmelia. From there, we went to the island of the Golden One, the human queen of the island chain that we are sailing through to out next destination. The Golden One has a dragon, who protects her and advises her. It turns out that the keeper of the dragon is an elf named Monea. We got to chat with her for a while, and talked her into givign us an audience with the dragon. The dragon wound up helping us out quite a bit, answering a lot of our questions about the nature of magic and of elven history. Then we got into an arguement amongst ourselves and the dragon loved it! She had never seen anything so interesting. Well . . . we're nothign if not interesting. So she wants us to come back tomorrow and have another arguement for her. That ought to be fun.
Sunday I never really woke up and spent the whole day wandering around in a daze. Becca and I went to Costco and bought a bunch of stuff we needed, and I managed to get enough energy to try to clean to mirrors of our Xbox. To make a long story short, the Xbox that Santa brought Becca for Christmas wasn't new, and it also wouldn't play several of the games we've gotten her. I found a website that showed how to open up the Xbox to clean the DVD drive's lenses and mirrors. It didn't work, so our next project will be to try to adjust the power of the laser in the DVD drive. Maybe we'll do that later in the week.
Today, I worked on the Gary's Games and Hobbies website in the morning as usual for a Monday, and then spent the next six hours finishing up our taxes. At least that's done!
Hopefully tomorrow I'll draw some maps for my game and if I do I'll get them posted here.
